John Wayne Bunch

John Wayne Bunch, 66, of Gulfport, MS., passed away on March 24, 2024, in the comfort of his home.  John was born one of five children, on September 25, 1957, in Gulfport, MS to his parents Grady and Eunice (Summrall) Bunch.  From a young age, John loved music and could always be found listening to country and rock and roll.  John had fond memories of hunting with his brother, playing pool and foosball, and riding bikes all over Long Beach and Gulfport with Cecil.  John took pride in his mechanic work and was always known to be a hard worker. Something he was proud to have instilled in his boys.  John loved his family and cherished the time they spent together, he will be immensely missed by all who knew and loved him.  John is preceded in death by his parents, Grady and Eunice Bunch; one brother Gary Bunch; and one sister Kathleen Whisenant.  Left to cherish John's memory, his three children, Iona Graham, John Bunch, and Jacob (Jackie) Bunch; one brother, Robert Dale Bunch; and one sister, Diane Beal. John leaves a legacy of six grandchildren, Kevin Tyler Feutz, Ashlyn Bunch, Destiny Ferrill, John Mark Ferrill, Rylan Bunch, and Ava Bunch as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. The family would like to give a special thank you to Kathy Gillis for the dignity and care she gave in the final months of John’s life.  Graveside services for John will be Tuesday, March 26, 2024, beginning at 2:00 pm at Whitehouse Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS, next to his parents. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Bunch family during this time and would ask that you remember them in your thoughts and prayers over the coming days.
