Charles Lowery Obituary

Charles Edward Lowery, 83, of Picayune, Ms., entered his eternal rest surrounded by the love of his family, Tuesday, March 26, 2024. Charles was born June 25, 1940, in Raliegh, Ms., to his parents Bill and Lorena (Pullen) Lowery.  Charles or Papa as he was most lovingly known, was a remarkable man, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and devoted Ole Miss Rebels fan. His presence in his family's lives was like a gentle beacon of love and kindness, guiding them all, through both joyous and challenging times. Papa was both loving and devoted to his family in every sense of the word, and his unwavering support and deep affection for his bride, Billie, were evident to all who knew them. Together, they built a foundation of love and understanding that inspired not only their family but all who knew and loved them.  As a father, Papa was a source of wisdom and strength who led by example, teaching his children the importance of integrity, hard work, and compassion. His guidance shaped them all into the individuals they are today, and his legacy will continue to guide and live on through them over the years to come. But perhaps Papa's greatest joy was found in being a grandfather. His eyes would light up with delight at the sight of his grandchildren, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Whether it was telling stories, playing games, or simply sharing a hug, Papa's love knew no bounds. Papa's generosity knew no limits as his heart of gold was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. His acts of kindness touched the lives of many, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts he touched. Though Papa may no longer be with his family in the flesh, his spirit will live on in the countless memories shared and the lessons he imparted. As his family bids farewell to an extraordinary man, they all take solace in the knowledge that his love will continue to surround them, guiding them all through life's journey. Papa will be immensely missed, but the love he showed will forever remain etched in our hearts. May Papa rest in peace, knowing that his legacy of love and kindness will endure for generations to come.  Papa is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Lorena Lowery; one son, Danny Lowery; his siblings, Billy (Marie) Lowery, Ruby Landry, and Mildren Dorion; two grandsons, Jeremy Mitchell and Cayce Seal; and two great-grandchildren, Peyton Lowery and Marleigh Kae Mitchell.  Left to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 45 years, Billie (Ladner) Lowery; his children, Joyce "Sissy" Mitchell, Doug (Michele) Seal, Denise Kinchen, and Chasity Drennan.  Papa leaves a legacy of fourteen grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.  Services for Charles will be held Thursday, March 28, 2024, beginning at 11:00 am at Resurrection Life Church in Picayune.  Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Lowery family during this difficult time and would ask that you remember them in your thoughts and prayers over the coming days.
