Howard Levert (Jr.) Ladner

Howard Levert Ladner, Jr., 72 of Poplarville, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on January 9th. He was born September 5, 1948 to Howard and Iris Ladner. He is preceded in death by his parents; beloved son, Casey Levert Ladner; parents in law, Charlie and Olian Spiers; brothers, Billy Royce and Con Houston Ladner; an infant sister; sister-in-law, Linda Ladner and nephew, Conway Ladner. Howard leaves behind his wonderful, devoted wife of 49 years, Nancy Spiers Ladner; brother and sister-in-law, Preston and Kay Ladner; special grandsons, Trajan and Triston Ladner along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Howard was a hard worker and electrician by trade. If you knew Howard, you would agree that he was a hoot and a half. He was a character to say the least. He enjoyed reading, especially his Bible. Howard met the love of his life back in the 60’s and married her January 30, 1971 to begin their journey through life together. He had a special heart for children, whether they were his or not, he made them feel important. He was member of the Masonic Lodge #639 and a member of the Joppa Shriners. Howard was loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure. A visitation will be held Friday, January 15 at Steep Hollow Baptist Church in Poplarville from 10 am to 2 pm. Funeral Services will be at 2 pm with interment to follow at Necaise Crossing Cemetery.
